The chess center of the Tursunzade city is always crowded. Built by the company “Sardor 2008”, it united not only Tursunzade chess players, but also became one of the country’s chess centers. The other day here, with the support of the company “Sardor 2008”, the next city chess championship was held. It was attended by 32 chess players of the city. According to Lutfullo Shermatov, the head of the chess section, responsible worker of the chess center of the department of youth and sports in Tursunzade, the championship is held according to the approved plan. Preliminary competitions are held in schools, institutions, organizations. Also in the chess center, chess players gain rating points. All of them become participants of the city championship. Along with the construction of the chess center, the quality of competitions has also changed here, says Lutfullo Shermatov. Chess players learned how to use the game clock, it became possible to conduct post-match analyzes on magnetic boards, and much more. Well, it is important that neighbors from Shahrinav, Gissar and Dushanbe began to come to us. During the year of operation of the chess center, four important tournaments were held here – the championship of Tursunzade, the tournament of the Hissar Valley, the championship of Tajikistan and the championship of the city among children and youths. And all these tournaments were held with the support of the company “Sardor 2008”.
One of the participants in the championship, the famous Tursunzade chess player Tojiddin Yuldashev, said that he had already participated in 11 championships in the Tursunzade city. During this time he became the champion of the city six times. And in the championship of Tajikistan in 2021, he took seventh place. With the construction of the chess center, the interest of residents in this game has significantly increased.
The championship of the Tursunzade city showed good results. The winners were entrepreneur – wine grower Vakhobjon Ismailov (1st place), teacher of school №. 23 Muhammadi Makhmaraev (2nd place), and entrepreneur – baker Tojiddin Yuldoshev (3rd place).
